- Cost per Month
The Cost per Month is your monthly expense for the services provided. Billing is either automated credit card monthly charge or annual by mail, payable in advance of service.

- Setup Charge
The Setup Charge is payable once, in advance of services. In the event that services are started prior to receipt of payment, payment is still due.
- Disk Storage
Disk Storage is the maximum amount of storage allowed to be used for your web site, expressed in megabytes. This includes all files, including statistics and logs. The storage space is provided for web site use only. No other files are to be stored. These limits are set primarily to be consistent with other ISPs. In fact, 99% of web sites never come close to the amount of storage allocated.
- Data Served / Month
Data Served / Month is the number of characters, expressed in megabytes, delivered from your web site and ftp site combined in a one month period. It is to be measured by the logs generated by the web servers. If the logs indicate that the quota is exceeded on a weekly basis for two consecutive weeks, the service category will be raised to the next higher service category. Be aware, however, that the amount of data allowed for each class of service should be more than ample for 99% of web sites.
- Access Statistics
Access Statistics refers to the statistics reporting provided. The statistics are graphical and may be viewed with your web browser via a secure channel. (You will have an account name and a password.) Statistics are generated weekly. The format of the statistics report may be customized. Access logs are also available for web sites that are served via unique domain names. These logs are lists showing the details of each individual "hit". (Please note that some providers provide only logs but refer to them as "statistics".)
Though statistics are always available for the higher classes of service, logs are not always be available. Logs will only be available if your web site is served under your own domain name. If your site is under one of our domain names, logs will not be available.
- CGI Programs
CGI Programs: CGI stands for Computer Gateway Interface. These programs perform tasks such as accepting input from the web user (via a web form) and then creating a file, sending an E-mail, or sending a FAX. We provide general CGI facilities to all users and will add and improve from time to time. Customers may not upload their own CGI programs due to security issues. If a customer requires special CGI, we can develop it (for a reasonable fee), or review the CGI supplied by the user. If the user supplied CGI is acceptable, we will include it for access. However, we may need to modify it so that it meets our tight security requirements.
- NHLinks Network
The NHLinks Network provides a unique plan to get more hits for your web site. Web sites hosted under the NHLinks Network plan will be listed in our search database and will be have a link on the appropriate NHLinks web site. NHLinks Network clients agree to place a link to their NHLinks home town site in a prominent position on their web site.
- Domain Name
Domain Name, in the service table, refers to the method by which your site is accessed. If you have your own domain name, your web site will be accessed by that name. (An example is www.nhlinks.com.) Your web site can also be redirected (see below).
- E-mail Addresses
You can have 1 or more E-mail addresses based on your class of service. Each address can have a mailbox (if included in your class of service), be forwarded to an address of your choice, and/or be configured as an auto-responder (if included in your class of service). Any one address can have a mailbox AND be forwarded. The benefit of forwarding your mail is that you can receive it via your standard mail account with any Internet access provider. (If you are unsure, we can advise you.)
- E-mail Auto-Responders
An auto-responder is an E-mail address that causes an automatic response to be sent when a message is received. A typical use is "info@4NH.com". When someone sends mail here, they automatically get a "thank you" response with basic information. Your "info@YourName.com" E-mail is also sent to you in case a specific inquiry is made that must be answered. (Our experience is that most ISPs do not offer this quite valuable business service.)
- Page Registration
We have solved one of the problems of web sites: who visits your page. You can include a "Register Page" button on any (or all!) of your pages. When people click, they are asked to enter their E-mail address. When they do, they are automatically entered in a mailing list specific to your page. You also get an E-mail when they register. You can then use this list to send announcements! The people have entered their address voluntarily, so it is good "netiquette". (You must have the appropriate class of service for this feature.)
- Anonymous FTP
Some organizations would like people to be able to download files that they provide, such as documentation. This is possible using "anonymous FTP". You can also automate this process by placing the appropriate links on your web site. Many ISPs do not offer this. Some that do charge twice as much money. We include this at no charge in the "Elegant Class" service.
- E-mail Mailing Lists
Would you like to be able to send announcements to your customer list? Advise people of an upcoming event? This can be easily automated with an E-mail mailing list. You can send mail to the list anytime you want. (List members must be voluntary. No "farmed" lists are allowed.)
- Automatic FAX
An exciting service that is rather unique. You can get messages on your FAX machine from people looking at your web page. There are many uses, from simple inquiries to ordering pizza. Think about how can that improve YOUR business. You don't even need a computer !
- Classified Listing
You will automatically have your basic information entered into our databases as we compile them. When people are looking for something you provide, they will automatically get a "classified AD" from our database.
- Search Database
Communications 4NH is creating databases for specific towns in NH, as well as counties and the whole state. You can be listed in these databases. People can find you easily from a basic search done on any of our100+ web sites. (Full features may not be available at this time.)
- Domain Name Registration
Many organizations want their own name for the Internet. We will handle all of the paperwork and set up everything that is required. You pay us nothing for this service. Get your name know before it is taken by someone else. (You must pay an InterNIC fee to the InterNIC. See elsewhere.)
