Why have statistics?

You make an investment in your web site, both in time and money. Businesses want to know the return they get on their investment. If you don't know the exposure you get with your web site, how can you determine if it is worth the money? We provide this information to you at no extra charge because we want you to know that your investment is providing you with additional profit, either directly or indirectly.

Your exclusive web server statistics will tell you how many visitors you get, who referred the visitors, how much time visitors spent, and what documents are most viewed. One of the most important statistics is theReferrer Report. This will tell you what search engines and links send the most visitors to your web site. It is our opinion that businesses should not invest in a full web site unless they are provided with this information in the most clear and comprehensible manner.

How many "hits" did I get?

Most people on the Internet talk about "hits". In fact, the number of "hits" is not that important. What is important is how many visits did you get, how many unique machines accessed your web site, and how much time did people spend visiting your site. Most ISPs talk about "hits" because they do not provide comprehensive statistics. We provide statistics because we believe that you should know as much as possible about your web site visit activity.

Does everybody get statistics?

We provide exclusive weekly statistics for every business class web site. The higher classes of service can have customized statistics reports. Please be aware that many ISPs claim to provide statistics but they only provide log files. Log files do not provide the valuable information that statistics reports provide. If you already have a web site, ask your ISP if he provides Graphical Statistics. If he does, ask to see the "referrer" report for your web site.

How do I view the statistics for my web site?

You just use your browser, any time and as frequently as you want. Every business class web site has a special sub-directory where your statistics reports reside. You will be assigned a User Name and Password to view those statistics. (Your server statistics are considered to be confidential so access to your statistics is restricted.)
